Day One in BANGKOK - SIAM OCEAN WORLD !!!

Image
We were very excited for our Bangkok trip, from may to oct we were only planning where to go, how to go and how many days to spend in each city. Since it was our first international trip and we were amateurs in planning we looked for the cheapest ticket from Mumbai to Bangkok and we got one from Mumbai to Bangkok via Kolkata. The journey was amazing (not the long hours of waiting at Mumbai and Kolkata) because when we boarded the flight from Kolkata, it was a group of people from central part of India travelling to Pattaya (for obvious reasons !!!)  they were all singing songs and sharing jokes across the plane, for a moment we thought we are travelling in a train.  Suggestion: Please take a direct flight, stopovers are a task, because some airports you need to collect your luggage and check-in again.  We reached Bangkok and it was visa-on-arrival and a few moments here and there, a form to fill up (please carry a passport photo), a thousand bath (Thailand's currenc...

Elections 2021 - The ray of Hope...

"If elected I shall be thankful; if not, it will be all the same." - Lincoln Quotes.

I hope the winners of today's election result which were held across 4 states (West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Kerala) and One Union Territory - Puducherry in India will be thankful to the voters who came in times of Covid and voted for their representatives. For candidates who contested but lost, have a more responsible task to keep the elected representatives on toes to fulfill the promises made by them.

The First Test: I believe all the people who got elected already have a battle to fight against the unseen enemy - Corona Virus. People have been asking for help across the country which includes admissions in Hospital, Oxygen for the patients, medicines, vaccines etc. Saving the lives of people will be of utmost importance.

What's Next: Once things improve there are loads of challenges for these 5 states to tackle, revival of businesses which have been hit hard by the virus. The most of it have been small vendors, food stall owners, road-side markets, small retailers etc. these people are the actual pillar of the economy, those small in size but together they make a huge contribution in running the economy.

Employment: We have seen over the past few years the unemployment have been on rise, people will good education have been jobless. The loss of public sector or private sector jobs is due to lack of robust policies of the government. I hope the elected governments will work on it.

Farmers: Off late we have seen many farmers protesting against some laws proposed by the government. Farmers are located in every part, every state, every district of the country. Lets help them sort this so that they can go back to work and help the citizens of the country and the world by producing food.

Infrastructure: Corona Virus has taught us that no country big or small, rich or poor, democratic or monarch can be safe if we do not upgrade our infrastructure. Its a lesson for all of us to prepare and upgrade our facilities across the country. Malls are important but so are hospitals. Infrastructure also includes safety for people in the state, good roads, schools, colleges, water, electricity and a platform to connect with the government to express their view, wants or needs.

My Views: I think people of these five states have expressed their views by voting in what they believe can help them improve their lives. For some it could be employment, for others it could be religious issues, for some others it could be development, etc. such is a diverse nature of our country that every election has a place for Shri Ram to Kaam (Work)

I wish the people of these states good luck.

Do remember to wear masks and stay at home.
